Pumpkin Carving is Fun

Today was my first pumpkin carving experience. Did you know my parents met at a pumpkin carving party in Somerville in 2002?

Well, here they are, still carving pumpkins together 8 years later.

Mama showed me how to draw a face on the pumpkin. She carved the medium-sized pumpkin.

Grandpa and Grandma and Mama encouraged me to get my hands dirty digging out the seeds, but that didn't look too appealing to me. . . .

Papa carved the big pumpkin. . .

and made pulling out seeds look fun.

So I decided to give the whole thing a try, beginning with the drawing.

I carved the little pumpkin.

See? We turned our pumpkins into Jack-O-Lanterns.

Happy Halloween!

Head of the Charles Regatta

On Saturday we took an evening stroll down to the Charles River to see the boat race called the Head of the Charles Regatta.

In the right hand corner you can see Mt Auburn Hospital where I was born.

It was a beautiful autumn day here in Cambridge.

Romping

My baby brother is due in 10 days and Mama still joined me for a romp in the foam pit at gym class yesterday. You should have seen it!

Leo Visits

On Tuesday Leo visited with his mama, Sheherezade.

We ate milk and cookies together. . . Deelicious.

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Carver Hill Orchard in Stow, Massachusetts to pick pumpkins. We brought our friend, Bernd, who is visiting from Germany.

Some pumpkins are the perfect size to sit on.

And some are about the same size as my little brother.

And some are just the right size for me!

and Apple Picking, too!

After picking our pumpkins we walked into the apple orchard. We had a little (apple) snack before filling up our bag with crunchy apples.

This is hard. . .

. . . but so worth it.

Goodbye Carver Hill Orchard!

Art Making

That is my first collage. I started it at Tot Lot, my new daycare, but it's still a work-in-progress.

Mis Gemelas Bonitas

Today I met my adorable twin cousins who are visiting from Michigan.

Rebecca is in blue, on the left, and her sister Sofia is in pink. Rebecca was crawling all around and Sofia chattered and played with me.

Mama and Papa made a delicious brunch that we ate with Aunt Marilyn, Claire (the twins' Mama) and Antonio (their Papa).

The little ladies were busy playing on the floor while the big kids ate.

We loved seeing our cousins and were sad to see them go.
