the BliZZZard of 2010
This is our patio during the snowfall.
Our car was transformed into a marshmallow on wheels.
Clearing snow is tiring, but it is also a fun spectator sport.

Christmas Feast
Grandma Anna came from Barcelona to celebrate Christmas with us.
We made a feast to celebrate. We bought live lobsters and kept them in our refrigerator overnight. I told my Mama "they hurt" when I saw them in the tank at the store, and when they were crammed in our refrigerator drawer waiting to be cooked. Papa made una sopa de Nadal with galets amb mandungias (pasta shells and meatballs). He made 105 meatballs. Don't worry, we didn't eat them all!
Papa shows me how to eat them.
For desert Mama made apple pie . It was "D-licious."

Pau's First Smile
Yesterday was a special day. Pau turned 6 weeks old and smiled at Mama. It made her day. Now he does it a lot. He also watches us and follows our voices when we move around. I really love him a lot and never miss a chance to kiss and hold him. I also like comforting him with a chupete when he cries.
In case these photos look familiar, check out this photo of me at 5 weeks, 4 days old.

Surprises
The other day I surprised Mama. I was counting with her and when she stopped at 10, I kept going - from 11 all the way to 20, almost in order! I can count only to 10 in Catalan, so I still have work to do. . .
Maracas
My mom was sneaky and made this movie of me reading on the potty. The book is called "Talk with Me." The pages include one with a parrot who squacks, a little boy who talks, and a group of kids playing musical instruments and singing. The transcription is below.
"A parrot squacks."
"Talk to me."
"Oh, sing. Play drums. Maracas. Maracas. Triangle. Maracas. Maracas."
"The end."
"Book."

My First Caga Tio
On Saturday my new Catalan friends threw a party and I experienced my first Caga Tio. For those of you who don't already know, the Caga Tio is a wonderful Catalan Christmas tradition. He literally is a "pooping log." Read on to get the full picture. . .
We sing Christmas songs while hitting the Caga Tio with sticks.
Then the log poops out our presents. Those who are good get good things, those who are bad get lumps of coal.
Luckily I was good. I got a cool book that fits perfectly in my little hands.
Meanwhile, Pau slept through the whole party.
Here's a view of all of the kids. Clockwise from the front left there's Leo, Gala (with her mama, Nuria), little Alex, Erica, Annabelle, me, bigger Alex, Clara, Pau (with Mama) and Joan, who came dressed with "faixa" and "barretina"
This is the whole group.
All in all it was a super fun party!!!! Moltes gracias to Alex, Ester, i Julius for organizing the day and for introducing me to the Caga Tio!
